I took my mother's car into the shop to have a funky noise checked out. It sounded like some sort of cover had come loose and was rubbing up against the front driver's side tire. I couldn't find anything with a quick inspection, so we took it into the shop just in case it was a major problem.
Turns out I was right. A splash cover had come loose under the wheel well and it was grinding up against the tire. So I said to my mechanic:
"So, all I had to do was get all down and dirty and get underneath the car to see the problem."
He replied:
"You just worry about the professor stuff and let us take care of the car."
Comparative advantage.
