Happy Fourth of July

The 4th is my favorite holiday these days because it means that I can set off fireworks and not have people look cross-eyed at me.

Unfortunately, none of these are legal in Minnesota, so I shall not be blowing any of these up in Mn. this year.

Addendum:  Chad the Elder reminisces about fireworks.  I had the misfortune of growing up in Sioux City, Ia., where the only things that were legal were sparklers, snakes, and other assorted wimpy fireworks.  But I had the fortune of growing up across the Missouri river from Nebraksa, where cooler fireworks were legal and across the Big Sioux river from South Dakota where the uber-cool ones were available.  But I only recall one time that my father brought home some really cool fireworks.  There were always some neighbor kids, on the other hand, who always had them.

Things got even better when I moved to Missourah, where the cool 'uns are legal.
