Last night around 6:30, a tornado warning was issued for Blue Earth County, the county in which Mankato sits. The tornadic storm was about 20 miles southeast of where I live, so there was no threat to my house. So I did what any normal midwestern man would do: I grabbed my camera, got in my truck, and drove towards the storm.****
I stopped in a residential neighborhood in southeast Mankato where I had a decent view of the bottom of the clouds. I never saw a tornado, but when I looked right over my head, this is what I saw:

Nice picture. Last summer, I got some video of some pretty cool circulation above my head. I don't know if you read it, but a couple months ago I retold my story of my closest encounter with a tornado.
